Host A Birthday Party At Eden Farms!

If you have a young horse lover at home and would like to host a birthday party at Eden Farms, we would love to have you! Children will have the opportunity to ride a horse and play horse themed games at our barn. We offer an outdoor picnic area or indoor event space for the group to enjoy your cake and presents.

Depending on age, we offer 2 birthday party packages. The first package is suitable for any age including very young children. Our second package is designed for party guests over 7 years old.

Option 1 - A Horse Themed Party For Any Age

This 2 hour party package is designed for around 15 children. This birthday party theme includes:
​

• One hour of taking turns riding two horses.
• Handicapped accessible playground area (beside the arena).
• Use of the picnic area and/or party room.

During the first hour, each guest will have the opportunity to ride two horses in our arena. Each horse is led by trained Eden Farms employees and all the horses used for parties are calm and friendly.

While waiting their turn for a ride, there is a handicapped accessible playground area just beside the arena. We provide the space in our outdoor picnic area for your group to enjoy your birthday cake and presents.

​In case of inclement weather, we have a covered arena for riding and an indoor event space for birthday festivities. The Eden Farms staff will give a gift to the birthday child, too - a hand painted horseshoe with their name on it and a cowboy hat!

The cost to host your party at Eden farms is $325 (for a 10am birthday party) or $385 (for a 12:30pm birthday party).

Optional Extras:

Games
Parents can relax and enjoy watching the kids play the following games while Eden Farms employees supervise them. We'll facilitate three games for $30 (or $12 for one game):

• Pin the tail on the donkey
• Search for the golden horseshoe
• Candy search in the haystack

Indoor Banquet Room
We have a large (40' x 70') indoor banquet room on the second floor of our forty stall barn. The climate controlled facilities include private bathrooms, hardwood floors and a large porch that looks out over our riding arenas and the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains. This room is great for larger parties or groups that will have extra adults. As with all the facilities at Eden Farms, the second floor is also handicap accessible. The cost to rent this space for the party is $100 (in addition to the $325/$385 party fee)

Additional Horse
For parties that have more than 15 children, we recommend adding an additional horse. This allows for each child to have an ample amount of time to enjoy their ride. Depending on the size of your party, we suggest having an extra horse for each additional 6 children. The cost for an additional horse for your party is $80 per horse.

Party Gift
Should you like to send each child home with a party gift, we have children's cowboy hats available. These adorable, sturdy cowboy hats make a great party souvenir! Each cowboy hat is available for $4 each.

Option 2 - Horse Themed Party For 7+ Year Olds

We offer an exciting birthday party option for those over 7 years of age for a recommended 12 party guests. This birthday party theme includes:

• One hour of taking turns riding two horses while learning how to indecently steer them through an obstacle course in the arena. Eden Farms staff will be on hand to assist your child as needed.
• A hands of horse tour through our horse barn with our horses.
• Use of the picnic area and/or party room.

During the riding portion of the party, party guests will be given an instructional lap on their horse in our arena, and then be able to guide their horse through a series of obstacles in the  arena using their new skills.

During the horse barn tour, an Eden Farms staff member will take guests through the barn on a hands-on horse tour. Party guests will get to meet our horses, see where they live, and how they are cared for.

Paint A Real Horseshoe
For $5 each, (the birthday child is free!) we supply real horseshoes from our own horses with all the decorating supplies you need. This makes a special memento from their special day at the farm!

Important Information

Each parent is required to sign a release form prior to their child being mounted on one of our horses. These can be emailed to the hosting family several weeks before the party for distribution. You can download the form for everyone to complete right here. Eden Farms provides safety helmets and each rider is required to wear one in the ring. Payment is due in full at the time of booking your birthday party. Any additional options may be added up to one week prior to the date of the party.

Eden Farms is a smoke free facility. Please no Pets or Balloons.
